Tao Wu
Tao Wu, born in 1982, from Suizhou, Hubei is a graduate of Watercolor Specialty, Department of Fine Arts Education, Hubei Institute of Fine Arts (HIFA) and now the founder of Goth International Fine Arts Education Organization.
He is also a member of the China Artists Association, Guangdong Artists Association and of Guangdong Watercolor Research Association. On top of that, he is the director of the Committee of Fine Arts Specialty, Zhongshan Handicraft and Fine Arts Association and vice director of Watercolor Arts Committee, Zhongshan Artists’ Association.
Artistic Experience and Achievements
In August, 2018, invited to Kendall College of Art and Design and in August, 2017, invited to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, both for exchanging experience.
In August, 2015, invited by the Political Consultative Conference of Zhongshan to stage “Zhongshan Watercolor Paintings Joint Exhibition” in U.S. and Canada.
In 2014, took part in “Future of Art-The First International Young Artists Exposition”. In the same year, watercolor painting Dragging Years was admitted to the National Young Artists Watercolor Paintings Exhibition.
In 2013, watercolor work Lingering Charm of the Construction Site was admitted to the Sixth Guangdong Watercolor and Gouache Paintings Exhibition.
In 2012, watercolor painting Dragging Years was admitted to the 2012 Guangdong Youth Art Exhibition.
In 2011, “Watercolor Impressions-Wu Tao Watercolor Paintings Exhibition” was staged by Guangdong Watercolor Research Association, Zhongshan Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Zhongshan Bureau of Education.
In 2010, took part in “Hong Kong-Zhongshan Outstanding Watercolor Works Exhibition”. In the same year, won outstanding award for his watercolor work Remaining traces of the years from the Fifth Guangdong Watercolor and Gouache Paintings Exhibition.
In 2009, watercolor painting Call from Afar was nominated by the Eleventh National Exhibition of Fine Arts and was exhibited in South Korea. In the same year, watercolor painting Song of Construction Workers was honored silver award by the Guangdong Province Tenth Art Painting Photography Exhibition. Various works were collected by art galleries, government agencies and individuals.
